Brazilian defender Maxwell has told reporters of the way in which PSG teammate Lucas Digne reminds him of himself as a younger model. Speaking with Footmercado, the former Barcelona and Ajax left back was most complimentary about his assumed successor.
“We talk sometimes. We work together. He’s a great kid and I like to tell him positive things. It’s important to communicate and give your all for the team.”
“Perhaps he’s an even bigger talent than myself when I was a young prospect, but I was part of a big club. He is too. He has the drive I had when I was young. We have alot in common.”
The two players have shared left back responsibilities for the Paris based club so far this season and both hold small hopes of making their countries’ respective final squads.
