Roberto Carlos asks experienced players to help Neymar at World Cup
Brazil legend Roberto Carlos has called on his nation's senoir players to help Neymar deal with the pressure of being the home star of this upcoming World Cup by not allowing him to get caught up in the inevitable media frenzy that will surround the Barcelona forward.
Speaking with Metro Jornal, the former left-back said: "I believe that 2014 will not be the World Cup of Neymar."
"He is still young . Brazil have other players who must take responsibility before him."
"I know he will play well , but he should not be pushed so much at this level because he has just arrived in Europe. Others have to take the pressure off him.
Carlos knows all about performing on the international stage, winning the sport's greatest prize in 2002 after missing out in the final of France 98.
