Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has hinted that he won’t be fit enough to return against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

The Brazilian returned to action last Thursday during a friendly against West Ham alongside fellow countrymen Paulinho and spoke to the Spurs website afterwards to discuss his playing return.

And during that interview he revealed that he needs more training to be ready for action again and wants to feel right before playing competitive football.

“I feel good,” said the 24-year-old. “I just need more training and more games like this to be back again and strong like before.

“Every game I watch I miss being out there on the pitch.

“We have some big games coming up. I don’t know if I’ll be ready for City but the most important thing is that I feel right and then I will be back.”

Sandro has been out of action since December 15th, and although Tottenham have gained some encouraging results since he sustained his injury, his return will be a big boost to new manager Tim Sherwood.

Wednesday night’s Premier League game against City should be too soon but he will most likely feature against Hull City in the league next Saturday.
