Chelsea’s Willian praises Felipão and says that the Seleção is all about ‘happy football’
The midfielder said that the coach deserves all the credit for the versatility of the national side.
Having starred in Eastern Europe for several years, Willian finally got where he wanted to be in 2013. A transfer to Chelsea led to an international call-up and, in his opinion, he is enjoying his football because of the influence that Luiz Felipe Scolari had on him.
“It’s good that the Seleção can play in a number of different ways, with a target man or a more versatile forward player supported by quick midfielders. It was important that Felipão did these tests. Everything we tried went well and it’s great for players to play in different systems. The result is that the team is playing happy football within an excellent atmosphere. Felipão deserves a lot of credit for this,” said Willian in an interview with FIFA.
