Brazil’s most expensive export, Neymar, has today returned to training following a stomach problem. The 21 year-old Barcelona attacker was sent home yesterday ahead of his club’s match against Getafe.

Neymar hasn’t played for his new side since December 17 as a result of the Spanish winter break and his slightly extended break to spend Christmas with his family.

His return will be vital to the hopes of Los Cules in the coming months as the Champions League returns in earnest and  of course there is also the small matter of this weekend’s fixture against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital.

The top two meet on Saturday at the Vicente Calderon, with Barca insisting that both Neymar and talismanic hero Lionel Messi will both be available to attempt to keep hold of top spot in La Liga.

The latter returned after a two month injury lay-off to score twice in the 4-0 first-leg victory over a poor Getafe side.
