Brazilian defender Fábio da Silva has admitted he may have to leave Manchester United.

The 23 year-old was loaned to Queens Park Rangers last season, where he made 21 appearances.

Back at United this term, Fábio has featured just once – in the 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.

If his first-team appearances continue to be limited, the Brazilian international – capped twice – insists he will consider a move elsewhere.

I think the time has come and maybe in the next window I think I might leave. There are good possibilities,” he told ESPN Brasil.

Fábio’s twin brother, Rafael, has also been linked with an Old Trafford exit.

The duo signed from Fluminense in 2008, but have struggled to establish themselves. Rafael has been the more successful of the two, making 81 appearances compared to Fábio’s 22, since arriving.

There is strong interest from clubs in Brazil in both twins.
