Seleção Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira is convinced that Brazil will encounter difficulties against Chile in their WC qualifier on the 4th of September in Brasilia.

The pressure will be all the more significant since in the event of victory, the Seleção will ensure their place for the finals in German next year.

“I can say to you that we are conscious of the quality of this Chilean team. The game will be very difficult because Chile is in progression and is fighting to take down its place in the next World Cup. They are a very fast team who have won their last two games.” He declared.

Chile overcame Venezuela 2 to 1 and Bolivia 3 to 1. They currently occupy the sixth position with 20 points, along with Colombia. In the South American qualifying, the first four nations qualify directly for the next World Cup and the fifth placed will have a play off against an Oceania side.
