The second round of the Taça Rio continued yeaterday with five matches, featuring Flamengo and Fluminense.

The Tricolor played first against Duque de Caxias at the Raulino de Oliveira in Volta Redonda. They were missing several key players such as Jean, Fred and Diego Cavalieri, who are in Europe representing the Brazilian national team.

Deco returned to the first team while Chelsea-bound Wallace started for the first time.

Flu’s performance was disappointing though, despite dominating most of the game, while Duque de Caxias were happy to just get a point, getting pleased with the 0-0 result.

Jorginho made his debut as Flamengo’s manager as the rubro-negro faced Boavista at the Engenhão stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

Flamengo failed to create many chances and were booed off by their own fans, while Boavista barely posed any threat.

The game also ended in a 0-0 draw, Flamengo still have not won any game in Taça Rio as they lost 2-3 to Resende in their first game.

Other results:

Audax 1-1 Bangu

Resende 2-1 Macaé

Quissamã 0-0 Olaria
