Botafogo debuted in Taça Rio with a comfortable 4-0 win against Quissamã at the Engenhão stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

The Fogão had a hard time breaking Quissamã’s defense in the first half, until Júliio César opened the scoring.

The second half was more one-sided, as Lodeiro, Fellype Gabriel and Rafael Marques extended Botafogo’s lead, while Seedorf also wasted an easy chance to score.

Former Feyenoord defender André Bahia started for the first time for Botafogo, playing alongside Dória.

Botafogo’s next game will be against Madureira, while Quissamã face Olaria.
