Leandro Damião has reiterated that he is happy to stay at Internacional but hinted at a possible move to Europe.

In an interview with Lancenet, the striker claimed that he is happy at the club but admitted that any ‘kid dreams of Europe’.

“I’m happy, I have a long contract. My thoughts are only at Internacional. But I dream to play in Europe.

“I have no preference, I’m not dismissing eastern Europe, but any kid dreams of Europe. Maybe one day, I’m happy here, Internacional gives me everything I need.”

This comes after his agent told Italian media: “The Italian championship is a goal for Damião. He is focused on succeeding in Brazil but anything can happen in June.

Damião, 23, has long been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur over the past 12 months and was close to moving to the North London club on transfer deadline day last month, only for the two clubs failing to agree a fee.
