Italian giants Lazio have shown an interest in signing Santos attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson but the Brazilian club are refusing to sell one of their most promising stars.

Anderson, 20, has become a key player for Santos coach Muricy Ramalho in the past six months since the sale of Ganso to São Paulo in September and is growing with each game he plays.

Lancenet are reporting that a Brazilian businessman, who is not the agent of the player, approached Santos to make them aware of Lazio’s interest in Anderson but the club replied that the player, who has a contract until 2016, is not for sale but they would be willing to listen to an offer if it was presented.

Lazio are said to be willing to offer just over £3million for Anderson, but that is way below what Santos would want for the player, who has also been a target for fellow Serie A side AC Milan.
