Santos star Neymar has revealed that he has not yet made a decision about his future amid ongoing interest from Barcelona.

The 20-year-old has made it clear he is going to honour the contract with his boyhood club, which expires in 2014, but a;so stressed that he is unsure where his future lies after that.

Barça’s Dani Alves has reportedly been asked to try and lure the Seleção striker to the Camp Nou, however, Neymar has revealed that he could opt to renew his contract with his current club.

He told Fifa.com: “Dani’s always embarrassing me! He’s put me in a tight spot.

“Even I don’t know whether I’ll still be at Santos after the World Cup. My contract runs to 2014 but there is still a long way to go before the World Cup. I don’t know if I will renew it or not.

“It’s a personal issue and I’ll have to talk it through with my family and Santos. We’ll definitely speak about it further down the line.”

Neymar then went on to discuss Brazil’s chances at the World Cup in two years’ time, and stressed that the side need time to improve.

He added: “If you look at the ranking, Brazil aren’t in the top five at the moment. But we’re working hard on the team’s identity and at becoming more of a unit.

“We haven’t been playing together for that long. The team’s been through a lot of changes and it needs time to forge that identity and reach the top again.”
