Queens Park Rangers couldn’t hold on to their early lead in the face of a West Ham onslaught in the second-half at Upton Park. But, thanks to Brazilian goalkeeper Júlio César, they were able to take home a point for their efforts.

César, 33, has impressed since signing for the Superhoops in August 2012 and continued his good form with a string of second-half saves and commanding catches from crosses into the area.

Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh was the player most frustrated by the former Inter Milan stopper, with César making two fine low saves to deny the striker.

Having saved an effort from substitute Carlton Cole, though, he could do nothing to prevent West Ham newboy Joe Cole turning home for an equaliser, after Loïc Remy had opened his QPR account in the first-half.

Left-back Fábio enjoyed another strong showing and made a couple of important clearances for his side, while Wellington Paulista was not included in the Hammers’ matchday squad.
