Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva is set to miss the next four weeks after picking up a thigh injury in Friday’s 0-0 draw with Ajaccio.

Silva, 28, who moved to PSG from AC Milan last summer for €42 million, limped off in the second half during the surprise draw with Ajaccio, who are in 14th place in Ligue 1, and French television channel Canal+ are reporting that the defender will miss the next month, meaning he will miss Brazil’s friendly against England at Wembley in February.

The defender has admitted that he has found life in France harder than he expected to and last month he even admitted that he would consider a move back to Milan at some point in the future.

He said: “I miss Milan a lot, to tell the truth. No one can deny that I miss Milan, the club will surely always be in my heart because they gave me so much.”
