Bayern Munich’s Luiz Gustavo says he is fit and raring to go after recovering from the injury that sidelined him since November.

The Brazilian played 45 minutes in Bayern’s friendly clash against Schalke 04 in their training camp in Doha, Qatar.

“I felt great on the pitch. I’m free of the pain that limited my playing time in the past. Now is the time to build on that and help Bayern win titles this season,” said the player.

The defensive midfielder also believes he has a chance at a call up for the Seleção after a change in coaches with Luiz Felipe Scolari taking over at the helm.

“Scolari and his committee have worked in Europe and arevery knowledgeable about every player that plays here. I believe that everyone has a chance for a call up. It is a new group that will be formed.”

Bayern strolled to a 5-0 victory with goals from Mario Mandzukic, Mario Gomez and Thomas Muller.
