Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry: Brazil has the talent and technique. You need not be complaining
Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry believes Brazil have a great chance of winning the 2014 World Cup after saying “Brazil has the talent and technique. You need not be complaining.”
Henry, 35, who is now playing in America with the New York Red Bulls after a stellar career in Europe with Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal and Barcelona, is currently on holiday in Brazil and, while Henry believes Spain are the current best in the world, believes the hosts of the next World Cup have a great chance to win the trophy for the first time since 2002.
“You (Brazilian) cannot complain,” he told Lancenet!
“You still have the talent, technique and a good supply of players. Just see the example of Neymar.
“Of course today Spain practice the best football, but the privilege of hosting the next World Cup is yours and this can motivate you to resume the post of best in the world.”
And Henry, who looks unlikely to make another loan return to Arsenal this winter, ruled out the possibility of playing in Brazil.
“Now no longer. Maybe I could play here if I was younger. Why not? When a player is in full swing and in Europe, it does not pass through the head to play in another continent. But it would be an interesting possibility.”
