AC Milan forward Robinho is back in Italy as talks regarding a possible move to Brasileirão outfit Santos continue.

The 28-year-old has said he wants to return to his homeland and above all his former club, where he started his career in 2002.

Club Vice-President Adriano Galliani is currently in Brazil working on a deal and while Alexandre Pato is on the verge of joining Club World Cup winners Corinthians, selling Robinho is proving to be problematic.

The Rossoneri have already turned down one bid and Santos are rumoured to have made their “final offer” of €7million and a contract worth €3.6million per season.

However, negotiations have hit obstacles as Robinho is believed to want wages of at least €4.8million.

Talks are continuing over the former Real Madrid and Manchester City man’s sale but in the meantime Robinho has returned to the peninsula.

The striker touched down in Italy on Wednesday afternoon and headed straight to Milanello for training.

It is unclear whether the Seleção international will be part of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad for this weekend’s game against Siena.
