Lucas Moura has been officially unveiled in Doha on Tuesday, following the completion of his €45 million transfer from São Paulo to Paris Saint-Germain.
Lucas, 20, heads to the Parisien giants with a glowing reputation following his performances in Brazil over the past two seasons and spoke of his hopes of growing as a player at the Parc des Princes.
“I am happy to know the club is counting on me. Football is my life and I will give my all so we can achieve our goals,” Lucas told the club’s official website.
“This is a big challenge for me. PSG are evolving. Leonardo helped me make this decision. It’s a big step in my career.”
Lucas follows in the footsteps of Sporting Director Leonardo as a São Paulo player who later played for PSG, a route also notably followed by 1994 World Cup winner Rai.
It has also been announced that Lucas will wear the No. 29 shirt for the remainder of the season.
