Chelsea are set to bring in Brazilians Taison and Paulinho in the next couple of weeks, as part of a triple January signing swoop involving Demba Ba—according to the Daily Mirror.

Both Brazilian players have been linked with the Blues for some weeks, with Taison having already visited Stamford Bridge in November for talk over a £10 million switch from Ukranian side Metalist.

The Blues will also be familiar with Paulinho’s abilities, having seen the box-to-box midfielder first-hand in the final of the Club World Cup in Japan, where they came up short against Brazilian rivals Corinthians.

The club lie third in the Premier League table, but having crashed out of the Champions League in the Group Stages, it is suggested that owner Roman Abramovich intends to continue his overhaul of last season’s conquerors of Europe.

Should the duo sign for Chelsea, the Blues would have an incredible seven Brazilians on their books. Besides first-team quartet Oscar, Ramires, David Luiz and Lucas Piazon, Chelsea also own Brazil Under-20 full-back Wallace, who should arrive at the club this summer.
