Juventus defender Lúcio has voiced his dismay with his current situation and has admitted he could leave the Italian club  if he does not get regular first team action.

The Brazilian centre-back has been unable to make an impact at Juve since joining them on a free transfer this summer, having been released by Inter.

Wolfsburg are said to be keen to lure Lúcio back to the Bundesliga, where he spent eight years playing for Bayern Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

The 34-year-old said: “I am unhappy at the moment because I don’t play much at Juventus.

“A return to the Bundesliga is a serious option. Things are organised very well in Germany. The league is on the rise and some good football is being played there.

“Wolfsburg are a team with big plans for the future. The club is well run. VfL would definitely be an option for me.”

The World Cup-winning defender, who has made just one league appearance for Juve, has a contract with the reigning Serie A champions until June 2014.
