Portuguesa stunned Internacional with a 2-0 away win to all but secure their survival for another season.

At the top end of the table, Grêmio hold onto second place after a thrilling 4-2 win over Figueirense holding off a second half fightback from the hosts.

Atlético Mineiro maintained their challenge for second place with a 3-2 win against Botafogo thanks to a late comeback with goals from Richarlyson and Réver.

São Paulo secured a place in next season’s Copa Libertadores with a 0-0 draw against Ponte Preta.

In the remaining matches, Cruzeiro won 2-1 against Coritiba while Palmeiras’ woes continue with a 2-1 defeat to Atlético GO.
