Santos are hoping to strike a deal with renowned agent Eduardo Uram to bring three of his clients to the Vila Belmiro for the 2013 season, following a meeting on Thursday.

Having been priced out of the market for former players Diego and Robinho, as well as former Flamengo star Renato Augusto, manager Muricy Ramalho has identified 2009 Player of the Year Diego Souza (pictured) as the club’s ideal replacement for the departed Ganso.

Diego Souza, who has been playing for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia since June, could be available on a free-transfer having gone three months without pay in the Middle East.

According to reports, the club are looking to bolster their attacking midfield resources with loan deals for both Rhayner (Naútico, 22) and Renê Junior (Ponte Preta, 23), both of whom are owned by Uram and their ownership registered at Tombense in Minas Gerais.

Both players have had good Brasileirão campaigns in 2012 and Santos hope that a loan deal would allow them to gamble on the duo, while Uram would be happy to put his clients in the shop window once more.

Santos, who have fallen out with the Traffic group after disputes regarding Ganso, have grown close to Uram in the past two seasons with Juan, Ibson, David Braz and Galhardo amongst the agent’s clients to have moved to the Vila Belmiro over the period.
