Kaká: Radamel Falcao is an excellent talent
Real Madrid playmaker Kaká has heaped praise on Atlético Madrid striker Radamel Falcao ahead of Brazil’s friendly with Colombia.
The La Liga pair have become firm friends despite their clubs’ fierce rivalry, and the 30-year-old spoke of his appreciation for the Colombian's footballing ability.
He told Lance!: "Radamel Falcao is an excellent talent. He is also a great friend of mine and I often meet with him in Madrid, our families are friends and I hope that remains for a long time."
The former AC Milan star and Falcao will come face to face on Thursday when the Seleção take on Los Cafeteros at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Kaká has been enjoying something of a second coming for the national side since his recent recall, and part of his renaissance is encapsulated in his renewed popularity online - Kaka is the best Brazilian player as voted by football fans on FootballTop.com. Kaka, however, is refusing to take his place for granted.
He added: "I feel good to have played the last two games [against Japan and Iraq], however, my place is far from consolidated.
"They were two important games and I did well, but I still have a lot to give to the squad."
The friendly is scheduled to kick off at 00:30 BST on Thursday.
