São Paulo FC confirmed Paulo Autuori’s arrival as the new coach. Autuori leaves the Peru national team to manage the Paulista club until December 31st 2006.
Very experienced, the new coach has coached many Brazilian teams before like Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Botafogo or Santos and also European clubs as Benfica Lisbon and Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal.
He replaces Emerson Leão, who left to move to Japan, with the objective for this season to win the national title and the Copa Libertadores.
