Santos manager Muricy Ramalho says that the club are monitoring the situation of Real Madrid midfielder Kaka.

The 30-year-old Brazilian international is seemingly out of favour at the Bernabeu, and has struggled to find top form due to a series of injuries since signing for Real in 2009.

Now Peixe are looking at the possibility of bringing the former AC Milan star in to replace the recently departed Ganso, who has joined São Paulo.

“Who would have thought that São Paulo could pay that kind of money for Ganso? Anything is possible,” Ramalho told reporters.

Santos have also been linked with a move for Robinho, while Ramalho said that Wolfsburg’s Diego was another potential signing.

“Kaka is an option, and so are Diego and Robinho. They are three important players,” he continued.

“As I said, anything can happen. It is not just an economical question, but we have to take other aspects into account as well, and we have to act quick.

“We have to support the players we already have, but it would be good to bring players who can add something to the team.”
