Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Willian has made clear his intention to leave the club this summer, blaming the Ukranian side for not allowing him to complete a transfer to the Premier League.

Willian, 24, has been the subject of an official bid from Tottenham, but the North London side are still in negotiations, with Shakhtar playing hard-ball over the proposed transfer fee.

The former Corinthians player found himself in a similar situation after interest from Chelsea in January and has grown frustrated with his side denying him the chance to move on.

“I have a proposal, but it is complicated because the board. Here are many players in the same position, most Brazilian. They buy and do not let go,” Willian told reporters.

“That’s the problem. Everyone knows that I want out, I’m here for five years, won many titles, so I hope you respect my will.

“I do not regret coming here, but this situation has been happening, with Chelsea trying to get me in January and now Tottenham, we start to rethink.”

Some reports also suggest that Tottenham are still in the hunt for Internacional striker Leandro Damião, but manager Andre Villas-Boas has denied that he is seeking to bring in another forward option.
