Santos midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso aims to return for Wednesday’s Copa Libertadores semi-final clash against Corinthians after being sidelined for two weeks with a knee injury.
The 22-year-old missed out on Brazil’s recent friendlies against Denmark, the United States, Mexico and Argentina as he took the decision to undergo minor surgery on a problem in his right knee.
The operation put Ganso’s chances of participating in Wednesday’s game in serious doubt, but after training alongside his team-mates on Saturday, the playmaker is hoping to play some part in the first leg at the Vila Belmiro.
”Playing is not impossible, so I am trying as hard as I can to recover and make it at 100 per cent,” Ganso said.
”My desire to play is at 1000%, a game like this is one for the history books. That is it, the No.10 always likes to take responsibility at these times, scoring, passing and giving everything on the pitch.”
