Former Flamengo-RJ, Guarani-SP, Palmeiras-SP, Deportivo La Coruna and others midfielder Djalminha has retired from professional football. The 34 years old will hold a press conference next week to discuss his reasons for calling time on his career. During Djalminha’s 16-year career the flamboyant playmaker played in all 524 times and netted 166 goals. Djalminha earned 14 caps between 1996 and 2002 and also helped Brazil win the Copa America in 1997, but he has never been player of the main staff of brazilian national team.
