Santos defender Leo has rejected the chance to join 2nd Division Celta Vigo.
Despite recently penning a new deal with the Brazilian club, the 29-year-old has attracted a host of interest from Europe.
Celta Vigo were prepared to bring the experienced stopper to Europe, however, he is unwilling to leave Santos.
“I am not going to leave Santos right now,” explained Leo.
“They can offer to me all the money in the world but I will not leave Santos now.”
Leo has admitted that he could be persuaded to leave Santos come the close season in Europe.
“I could maybe think about the chance of moving clubs in July,” he added. “I have spoken with Santos’ president Marcelo Teixeira.
“I am not thinking about leaving right now because I have my mind on the Paulista Championship and the Copa Libertadores.”
