In the big match of the week, Corinthians ran out 2-1 winners due to a double from Liedson.

However, before his 89th minute winner, Gustavo was seen to punch him in the gut during the second half.

The Attorney General of the Superior Court of Sports Justice Paul Schmitt says he will analyse this aggressive act.

Schmitt told reporters: “We have already asked to assess these pictures and we find them really aggressive.

“If we continue we this and it passes regulations, it could be punished.”

The possible punishment could be a ban of upto twelve weeks if Gustavo is found guilty of aggressive behaviour on the field.

Despite the video footage, when Gustavo was asked at the end of the game about the incident, he denied any wrong doing.

If Gustavo is banned, it will only add to Wanderlei Luxemburgo’s defensive worries.
