Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas recently revealed that Luiz would be on the bench for Saturday"s game, and was hopeful of giving the 24-year-old some playing time.
“David Luiz is back in full training," said Villas-Boas. “It will be too early for him [to start] but he has been called up by Brazil and I want to give him a few minutes."
Luiz has already missed the first two league games with a thigh injury and could again be replaced in the starting line-up by fellow countryman Alex.
Ramires is likely to start after playing the full 90 minutes in Chelsea"s 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion last Saturday.
