Match-fixing scandal in Brazil

It should be remembered that since last May, when his contract was temporarily suspended, the talented defender has been excluded from training sessions with Santos. This action taken by the club clearly demonstrates the seriousness of the allegations against Bauermann and the profound impact they have on his career and reputation.

These are the penalties for each player:

Moraes (Aparecidense-GO): 760 days and R$55,000

Gabriel Tota (Ypiranga-RS): banishment and R$30,000

Paulo Miranda (without club): 1,000 days and R$70,000

Eduardo Bauermann (Santos): 12 games

Igor Cariús (Sport): discharged

Fernando Neto (São Bernardo): 380 days and R$15,000

Matheus Gomes (without club): ban and R$10,000

Kevin Lomónaco (Bragantino): 380 days and R$25,000.

As Brazilian football is rocked by cases of corruption and cheating, sporting authorities are working to restore integrity and transparency to the game. The repercussions of the “Maximum Penalty II” case will continue to be scrutinized closely, with the expectation of additional sanctions and the hope of a thorough cleaning of the practice of football in the country.
