Hired in July last year, striker Raphinha celebrated his first title with Barcelona’s shirt last Sunday, the 15th. With an impeccable performance, the Blaugrana team beat Real Madrid, by 3 to 1, in the Spanish Super Cup, played at King Fahd, in Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian entered the field in the 33rd minute of the second half, when coach Xavi opted to remove Dembélé. In total, he played for just over 12 minutes and touched the ball nine times – six passes right and three wrong. In the semifinal, against Betis, he was on the field for 86 minutes, until he was replaced by Ansu Fati.

After the final whistle by referee Ricardo de Burgos, the number 22 was one of the most excited players on the pitch, so much so that he appeared in photos published by Barcelona’s profile on social networks. The player also celebrated on his Instagram profile and designed new titles.

“The first of the season, the first with this giant shirt that is Barcelona. Just thank you for this amazing moment. Let’s go for more,” wrote the 26-year-old.

Raphinha won his third career title, as he lifted two cups at Sporting: Taça da Liga de Portugal and Taça de Portugal (both in the 2018/19 season). The dream of new trophies can be realized in the coming years, as Barcelona leads the Spanish Championship with 41 points in 16 rounds.
