Borussia Dortmund are closing on a €12 million capture of Atlético Mineiro’s Bernard according to reports in Germany.
BILD claims that the Champions League runner-ups are looking to strengthen this summer after the departure of Mario Gotze and is aiming for a double swoop of Bernard and Chelsea’s Kevin de Bruyne.
The tabloid claims that both attacking midfielders could be snapped up for a total sum of €27m but there have been no reports from Bernard’s camp to suggest a move is on.
Bernard has been hot property this summer and a move to the Bundesliga outfit has been mooted by the player has denied any such interest.
If Dortmund fail to sign Bernard, they then are likely to move onto Ajax’s Christian Eriksen in addition to De Bruyne.
