Real Madrid are understood to have joined the race to sign Arsenal star Edu.
The Spanish titans are also considering a move which could be lined up for January.
Edu is already wanted by Valencia and Barcelona, as his time at Arsenal looks to be rapidly coming to an end – after talks over a new contract continue to stall.
Edu’s name arose at a meeting on Friday, which was primariy to discuss Santos striker Robinho.
Real are looking to bolster the options in their squad and a couple of signings in January is expected.
