Ceará started better off and Inter looked nervy in the opening stages of the game.
In fact, it was the Vozão who looked likely to score a goal than any side.
It was until the 30th minute that Inter started to grow into the game. Fernando Prass did well in consecutive submissions from Sarrafiore and Nonato. Not long after, the top scorer of the Brasileirão opened the scoring. In the 43rd minute, Edenilson crossed from the right, and Galhardo stretched to deflect into the net. Inter went 1-0 up going into half time.
Inter returned much more connected for the second stage. And it almost expanded with Edenilson and Boschilia in the opening minutes. In the 76th minute, the Ceará defence could only blame themselves after a defensive error allowed Galhardo to score once again against his former side. It was back to winning ways for the leaders after two draws.
Inter reach 20 points and hold the distance at the top of the Championship. They are three ahead of Flamengo and São Paulo, second and third placed with the same score. Ceará loses the second consecutive game remain on 10 points, now in 12th position.
The two teams will return to the field next Sunday. Inter travels to Goiânia to face Goiás in Serrinha while Ceará take on Flamengo at Castelão.
