Richarlison shines as Everton claim remarkable win over Liverpool at Anfield
Three Brazilians were on the pitch as Everton and Liverpool locked horns in the Merseyside derby on Saturday.
Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino were in the starting lineup for Liverpool while Richarlison led the Toffees upfront in the absence of Calvert-Lewin. However, Richarlison got the Toffees to the perfect start after latching on to a pass from James Rodriguez to fire past Alisson just under three minutes.
Liverpool responded well and got back in the game but Pickford made a couple of saves to keep his side in the game.
It was further blow for the Reds as they went on to lose captain Jordan Henderson to injury as well. The result meant Liverpool had lost four home games in succession for the first time since 1923.
For Everton, it was their first derby win against Liverpool at any venue since 1999.
