Botafogo and Coritiba had a busy and tough game, with little or no chances created as both sides could only settle to share the spoils.

Although the game had little to show in terms of chances created, goalkeepers Wilson and Gatito had a lot to show and made sure the game ended in a stalemate with their stellar performances.

Salomon Kalou had his debut with a good performance of his own, but could not influence the game with a goal of his own.

In a game with little to talk about, the big attraction was Ivorian Salomon Kalou. The forward made his debut for Botafogo and had a great game, causing lots of trouble in attack. He took two powerful shots on target which Wilson was up for and stopped it easily. Without playing since November 2019, the striker lasted till the 86th minute of the second half.

Botafogo and Coritiba players came into the game with their hearts. It was a tough, physical game and a lot of fighting in the midfield occurred almost throughout the game. There were 44 fouls given by referee Felipe Fernandes de Lima.

Gatito and Wilson were both instrumental in keeping out the goals both in the second half when things started to heat up. Also, Bota had a goal stopped by Luis Henrique.

With the draw, Botafogo remained in 16th place in the table of the Brasileirão with seven points while Coritiba, who has seven points, stays at 14th place.

Botafogo return to the pitch on Saturday and will take on CorinthiansCoritiba take on Atlético-MG a day later.
