Before the 2010-2011 Season, Inter Milan were the regular winners of the Serie A. Asides that, they were also a force to reckon with in top European competitions. However, things went downhill after Jose Mourinho left in 2010, after leading them to winning a treble in the previous season. A team that won the Coppa Italia, UEFA Champions League and even the Serie A in the 2009-2010 season, began struggling to even come up to second place on the Serie A table two seasons after.

The club has experienced a lot of transitioning as a result of the regular changes of coaches that happened since the last 10 seasons, all to find their rhythm and get Inter Milan to their past glory.

Conte came in as Inter Milan’s coach 2019 and in his high-achieving spirit got Inter to finish 2nd which hadn’t happened in years before he came in, took the team as far as the semifinals in Coppa Italia and most importantly went as far as getting into the Europa finals. We would be lying not to admit he didn’t struggle. But he took his time, went for the players he wanted and built a team that he felt he could work better with and the result is his team becoming the Scudetto after about 10 years.

The journey to becoming the Scudetto wasn’t a smooth sailing one, if we are, to be honest. As of November, they were as low as 7th on the table as a consequence of their draws against Parma and Atalanta. But like fighters they are, this team toiled, worked tirelessly to see themselves coming out on top in the Serie A.

It is safe to say Inter Milan are beginning to find their balance and they are back! Sadly, it might be square one all over with Antonio Conte announcing his departure, meaning they would have to find a new manager with a new project all over again.
