After a great performance Rubro-Negro opened up the scoring in the 25th minute with the goal scored by Lincoln. Five minutes later, Pedro got on the score sheet extending the lead after a great pass from Gabigol. In the second half, Bruno Henrique scored two goals making it a ravaging victory.

With the victory, Flamengo remains at the top of the Group A as leaders, with 12 points, and guarantee themselves a spot in the round of 16 of the Libertadores.

In the last round, on October 21, the red-black team needs only a draw with Junior Barranquilla, in Maracanã, to finish the log in first place. Del Valle remains in second place with nine points, while, junior follows in third place with six points. Barcelona de Guayaquil comes in last with three points.

Flamengo’s top scorer this season, Gabriel Barbosa, was substituted at the end of the first half, because he felt some pain in his ankle.

While leaving the pitch, the player kicked the lawn angrily, indicating that his injury was caused by the poor condition of the stadium field.

The Maracanã field was recently worked on and replaced, after series of complaints had been tabled, with the promise of improvement, but the condition still persists with no form of slight improvement.

The “king ofAmerica”, Bruno Henrique, chosen and elected by Conmebol in 2019, returned to the field since the defeat suffered in Quito.

The player was diagnosed positive for corona virus and spent two weeks in isolation away from his squad.  He scored the Flamengo’s last two goals making it 4-0 and also ending a nine games goalless streak.
