Domènec Torrent‘s team sends another message to their rivals and maintains a stern chase with Internacional. On the other hand, Vagner Mancini‘s team didn’t play badly but were nowhere near their opponents in all departments.

The first half started with Flamengo dominating the game. In the 10th minute, Fla saw a goal canceled after a VAR review. They finally got their goal in the 32nd minute through Ribeiro. The first half ended that way but there was a lot coming in the second half.

Flamengo increased the score early on, in a great play by Everton Ribeiro finished by Vitinho, with no chances for Cássio. Then, in an unpretentious corner, Natan made it 3-0.

Gil pulled one back for Corinthians but it was a mere consolation as Bruno Henrique and Diego added more to make it a humiliating 5-1 defeat for Timão.

The victory takes Flamengo to 34 points, the same score as Inter who have an advantage in the goal difference. Corinthains remain in 14th place with 18 points and are just two from the relegation spots.
