Thuler, Lincoln and Bruno Henrique scored for the home side, while, Téo Gutiérrez got on the mark for Junior Barranquilla.

A lot of changes were made in the game, but Flamengo’s superiority in the first half remained the same

as playing with the first team squad.

Ten minutes into the first half, Thuler saw a chance after Léo Pereira’s header took advantage of the defending and scored. Few minutes later, Flamengo followed up with their first effort to extend their lead, but could only hit the crossbar.

Lincoln extended his team’s lead late in the first half following a counter attack, making it 2-0 before the break.

In the second half, Flamengo followed the great performance from the first halfMichael continued to test the Colombian defense causing the away side more trouble and creating good opportunities to score.

In the sixty-ninth minute, Junior Barranquilla reduced the deficit through a counterattack, with Téo Gutiérrez scoring the goal for his team. It didn’t take long for Flamengo to respond, just six minutes after Junior scored, Bruno Henrique got on the score sheet, ending the game 3-1.

With the victory, Flamengo reached 15 points and confirmed the first place of Group A. Del Valle second with 12. On Friday, Conmebol will draw the crossings of the round of 16.
