Dentinho and Manor Solomon were on the score-sheet as Real Madrid were condemned to yet another loss in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Shakhtar Donetsk claimed another shock victory against Los Blancos with a 2-0 victory at home. That means they did the double over the Spanish giants in the Champions League group stages.

The result means Real Madrid are in danger of a shock Champions League exit should Inter defeat Shakhtar Donetsk next week and they fail to beat leaders Borussia Monchengladbach in the closing fixture of the group stage.

Real Madrid early opportunities to take the lead in the game via Asensio and Benzema but both failed to effectively take their chances.

Shakhtar lost Moraes to injury after he collided with Raphael Varane in the first half. It was a bland first half for the Ukranian side who failed to register a single shot on target in the first period.

In the second half, it seemed like Real Madrid were primed to take the lead when Benzema created a great chance for Nacho who could only see his headed effort go wide.

Shakhtar replied not long after and got their first goal in the 57th minute when Viktor Kovalenko slipped in a pass past Mendy and Varane, leaving Dentinho with space to fire home the lead.

Real Madrid soon conceded another via a counter attacking move to put any hopes of a comeback to bed. Solomon sent his effort past Courtois from 18 yards in the 82nd minute.

Dentinho and company will host Minai in the weekend before a crunch clash against Inter on Wednesday. Real Madrid will face Sevilla on Saturday before hosting Gladbach next week.
