Corinthians has a huge structure, I think it is one of the largest in the world. I didn’t think twice about coming – said the defender during his presentation.

To hire Jemerson, Corinthians will pay about R $ 4.5 million to Monaco, from France. The European club will also retain 20% of the athlete’s economic rights if he renews with Timão after the middle of next year.

The defender returns to Brazil and is expected to get a lower salary.

Therefore, the duration of the contract is only eight months. If he convinces the club’s boardreports say he will get a salary increase in 2021.

The new Corinthians signing arrived in Brazil this Tuesday morning and in an interview at the landing praised Timão and revealed that he had picked up tips from  with whom he played together at Atlético-MG.

Jemerson has not been in action for a long time out. His last match was on January 28 in the 1-0 defeat by Saint-Étienne in the French Cup.

The defender had also been training separately from the Monaco squad after the quarantine.

For nine months without playing for the Ligue 1 outfit, he will undergo a few weeks of adaptation before he can play.

The defender will be Timao’s 12th addition of the season so far where they have failed to maintain a consistent charge.

Corinthians will next take on Atlético Clube Goianiense on Sunday in the Brazilian Championship for the 20th round of the competition. It will probably take a while before the new signing features in a game.
