Doménec Torrent"s team had much of the game with a lot of possession in the first half in Castelão, but at the start of the second half Guto Ferreira ended the game early and put the three points in the account.

Ceará’s aerials ball was an advantage in the victory against Flamengo at Castelão.

At four minutes into the second half, Luiz Otávio stood tall in the heart of the red-black defense and headed straight into the back of the net.

Six minutes later, Vozão took advantage of the situation. Charles doubled their advantage with another headed goal taking in a cross from the right. Guto Ferreira"s team took their chances quite well better than their opponent.

Gabigol lacked efficiency in Ceará and he is Flamengo"s top scorer this season. The Brazilian missed two great chances in the first half of the game. In the first half, he missed a header in the goal area that was way off the mark. In the second half, he missed yet another with his right leg which hit the post of Fernando Prass"s goal.

Flamengo were lucky that Internacional and São Paulo stumbled in the round as well. Inter lost to Goiás while Tricolor drew with Santos.

Flamengo dropped places and moved to fourth, behind Atlético-MG who are one point ahead and in second place. Ceará with 13 points sits at ninth place in the Brasileirão.

Ceará returns to the field next Saturday against Bragantino in São Paulo. In turn, Flamengo will face Palmeiras at Allianz Parque.
