Arsenal have signed two Brazilian players this summer at different stages of their career. 18- year old Gabriel Martinelli was signed as a future prospect from Ituano.
Luiz meanwhile, is a 32-year old centre-half who has won every domestic honour the game has to offer in England and Europe.
Luiz says he is looking forward to helping Martinelli’s adaption in England, “"He is a young player, he's talented and everyone speaks very well about him,” Luiz told Arsenal.com
“Everyone is excited because they know he has the potential to become a fantastic player soon and in the future. It will be good to work with him, try to help him and also give him a bit of my experience in football around the world. I hope we both can do big things here."
Luiz joined the club from Chelsea on transfer deadline day. Martinelli, meanwhile, signed at the beginning of the transfer window in May.
