Former Flamengo and Leeds midfielder Adryan scores his first two goals at Nantes
Brazilian attacking midfielder Adryan scored his first two goals in French football on Wednesday, but couldn’t prevent Nantes’ elimination in the Coupe de la Ligue.
Despite the good performance from the 21-year-old, it was French second division side Bourg en Bresse 01 who advanced to the next round with a 3-2 victory. On loan from Flamengo until the end of the season, Adryan has played in nine games for his new club. Adryan was disappointed with the result, but was confident of having a good season in French football. He said: “I’m upset, because the objective was to qualify. We fought until the end, but unfortunately we miss out. Let’s forget the Coupe de la Ligue and focus on Ligue 1 now. I am very happy to have been able to help the team with two goals and a good show. This shows how high my confidence is for the remainder of the season. I am well suited and I will continue working hard to keep that mark and evolve every day, always trying to help Nantes.”
