Flamengo: Inter Milan chase Paolo Guerrero
Just two months after his arrival from Corinthians, Flamengo striker Paolo Guerrero is being targeting by Inter Milan. The Italian club reportedly had an initial offer rejected two weeks ago by Flamengo, but have not yet given up hope of signing the Peruvian striker.
According to ESPN UOL, the Nerazzurri have sent a second proposal of around €13 million for the Carioca side to consider. Fla paid just €3m, so the deal would represent excellent value for money for the 31-year-old, who was Peru’s top scorer at the Copa America with 4 goals in 6 games. Flamengo, however, have no intention to sell the player, but will be forced to should Inter increase their bid to meet his release clause of €18m.
Under contract with the Rubro-Negro until 2018, Guerrero is on a salary of about €230,000 a month. He has found the net three times with his new club, in a total of eight games played. Flamengo remain 13th in the standings at the time of writing, just four points above the relegation zone.
