Seeing to move out of the Serie B relegation zone, Atletico-GO return to the pitch on Friday to face Bragantino away from home. Attacker Willie, a newcomer at the club after a brief spell at America-MG, made his debut in the rubro-negro shirt in last weekend’s game with Santa Cruz, and has now called on his team mates to produce a performance when they travel to Sāo Paulo on Friday.
“This game against Bragantino has to be the beginning of a reaction of our team in Serie B. It will be complicated, but we have to seek victory in Sāo Paulo anyway. We need a good run now to get out of the relegation zone and never return,” he said.
According to the player, the Dragāo side need to regain confidence to return to victorious ways.
“We are experiencing a difficult situation and we know it, but we have to find strength to react and get out of the relegation zone. We are focused on this. We need to restore confidence to return to the road to victory.”
