Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has spoken of his delight following confirmation that he will play for Real Madrid next season.
The midfielder spent last season on loan with Porto, who had wanted to make the deal a permanent one this summer. However, Madrid recently blocked that from happening by paying their Portuguese counterparts a reported €7.5 million. He told MARCA: “I’m very happy at getting to return to what I consider my home. I’d like to thank Real Madrid and Rafa Benítez for the faith they’ve shown in me. I’m sure I won’t let them down. Playing for Real Madrid is a dream that I don’t want to give up on. I’m dying to run out at the Bernabéu again.”
